What do you do with your wetsuit in a triathlon transition?
Posted on under Wetsuits Information | 2 CommentsI will be doing my first sprint triathlon and am wonder what to do with the wetsuit in T1. Can I leave it in the transition area and continue with the race? Or do I have to carry it with me to T2?
Should I worry about my wetsuit and other things getting stolen in T1?… How do contestants usually hold onto drink and power bars while biking?

Depending on the triathlon, most of the time you just take your wetsuit off in T1 and leave it hanging on the railing or stuff it into your transition bag, and continue onto your bike. Usually T1 and T2 are in the same place so you don’t need to carry it anywhere. Even if T1 and T2 are in different places, there are triathlons like that but very few, you do the same thing, just leave the wetsuit in T1.
Good luck and welcome to the club
